Donald Fisher
Don Fisher attended The Philadelphia College of Art on a four-year scholarship and was an advertising agency art director for many years. Seeking more satisfaction from his fine art work, Fisher eventually found new interest and excitement working with his camera, photographic output and a computer. “It felt good,” says Fisher, “and I was stimulated. This is now the way I express myself.”
He finds great creative flexibility combining camera and the computer. Beginning with a photographic image, Fisher uses the computer to sketch or draw onto the photo, change or redesign the image, develop a color palette, and experiment with digital software to create unique results. Fisher is energized by the technology of the digital medium, and joyful with the results his creative experimenting now brings to his art.
Fisher has received numerous awards in group shows throughout the United States. He has exhibited at Perkins Center for the Arts, Wayne Art Center, Long Beach Island Art Center, Atlantic City Art Center, Ventnor Art Center, Abington Art Center and the Cheltenham Center for the Arts. His work is in private and corporate collections.
