Reena Brooks
Reena Brooks examines textures and layers through her printmaking and mixed media. She draws the viewer in through her many layers of ephemera, multiple printmaking processes, and color.
Reena Brooks is a Cum Laude graduate of the Tyler School of Art where she received her BFA with a concentration in Printmaking. Reena Brooks is currently the President of the Cheltenham Printmakers Guild, a guild that has been exhibiting and working in the Philadelphia area since the late 1960’s. She is an active member of Orchard Artworks, a Fine Art and Craft Cooperative in Bryn Athyn, PA where she has participated in numerous group shows. She is also a member of Star Wheel Printers, a Philadelphia print collective that aims to promote and share printmaking with other artists and local communities; and the American Color Print Society, and the National Collage Society.
Reena has many other interests, she is an avid weaver, knitter, sewer, painter, photographer, gardener, picture framer, and dog lover! She is currently teaching art classes at Art at Valley Lake Gallery in Horsham PA where she incorporates all her loves into her classes.
She currently lives in beautiful Bucks County, PA with her 3 dogs a cat and a very supportive husband, Barry.
