Terri Fridkin
Terri Fridkin is best known for her dynamic, abstract and mixed media prints that embody intense color and graphic forms. An honors graduate of the design school at Drexel University, Fridkin lives and works in the Philadelphia area. After teaching art for several years in Philadelphia, she left to pursue printmaking at studios and schools in New York and Pennsylvania. She is a monitor in the etching studio at Fleisher Art Memorial since 2014.
Fridkin has presented solo shows at Muse Gallery, Old City Philadelphia; Main Line Art Center, Haverford, PA; and Coldwell Banker, Old City Philadelphia. Selected juried and invitational exhibitions include Woodmere Art Museum, Philadelphia; The State Museum of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg; Philadelphia City Hall; The Galleries at William Patterson University, Wayne, NJ; Southern Printmaking Biennale VII International Exhibition, University of North Georgia; MFA Circle Gallery, Annapolis, MD; and Washington Printmakers Gallery, D.C. Fridkin has won numerous awards. Selected awards include The Gail Taflin Memorial Award for Abstract Work; The Stella Drabkin Memorial Award for Printmaking; The Michael Lasuchin Memorial Award for Printmaking; Jurors’ Best of Show Awards, and awards for Excellence, Works on Paper, and Honorable Mentions. Fridkin was the 2017 Cover Winner for Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. Her work is in private and public collections including Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, New York and Einstein Medical Networks, Philadelphia. She is a member of Muse Gallery, The American Color Print Society, The Cheltenham Guild of Printmakers, Star Wheel Printers, and The Guild of Papermakers.
